This 14-karat white gold ring mounting features a double-prong basket mounting. The center mounting holds one 6mm (0.84-ct., approx.) round faceted gemstone with four pre-notched double prongs. A variation on a classic 4-prong setting, which supports the gemstone on four sides, the double prongs create eight contact points for added security for your center stone. The basket setting features open sides designed to allow more light to reach and move through the stone, enhancing its brightness and brilliance. The shank is set with 14 0.01-ct. round diamonds (SI3–I1 clarity/H–J color; 0.14CTTW), seven on each side of the center mounting, in individual 4-prong mountings. Pre-notched prongs provide a professional start to stone-setting with perfectly level stone seats already cut into each prong. Set your stone into the prongs to check the fit. If necessary, adjust the seat to best accommodate your stone. To secure the stone in place, burnish the prongs over the stone.
