Copper Half-Round Wire, 1-lb. Spool, 1/2-Hard

This 1/2-hard 22-gauge copper half-round wire offers a flat surface that makes it great for wire-wrapping on flat components and helps make soldering more effective while presenting a round profile in your designs. This wire is great for creating loops, links and jump rings that have a flat inner surface. Metal that is 1/2-hard partially work-hardened and will hold its shape under some stress; ideal for forming structures that will support other components. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take. This wire is packaged on 1-lb. spools. The color of copper is popular for a variety of mixed-metal and alternative metal designs; its affordability adds an additional facet to its popularity for both maker and clients. For some customers, the perceived spiritual/medicinal properties contribute yet another facet—especially for cuff and bangle bracelet designs. CDA #110 copper; 99.9% pure.
