Crystal Quartz & Moss Agate Round Doublet Cabochon

This round doublet cabochon is composed of a smooth, clear quartz cap and a moss agate base joined by a clear adhesive. The lush green veining in the agate is magnified by the quartz, giving the cabochon an organic, three-dimensional look that is well suited to jewelry with a natural theme. Use pairs of single cabochons for earrings or match it with gemstones in complementary shades of brown, green and white. Moss agate contains green inclusions in a milky-white field, giving the gemstone patterns suggestive of moss. Agate is a form of chalcedony that occurs in nodular masses in rocks such as volcanic lavas.
