These forming pliers from Euro Tool feature one polished, rounded steel jaw and one V-shaped nylon jaw; these pliers are perfect for forming metal without marring its surface. Forming pliers have a variety of jaw configurations designed to maximize the ability to bend, shape or form wire, strip and sheet; they are ideal for creating ring shanks, opposing curves (waves or corrugation), angles and patterns. Jaws lined with nylon allow you to shape soft sheet, wire or components without scratching or otherwise marring the surface of the workpiece. If desired, you can further carve or file the V-notch in the nylon jaw to fit a specific purpose. The hardened tool steel is a very hard, strong and durable material; the steel jaw will not be nicked or misshapen with normal use. Clean with CosmolineĀ® or a similar protectant; avoid contact with moisture.
- These pliers have a box joint; one half of the joint surrounds the other and the pivot is contained within. This joint holds its alignment far longer than a lap joint but allows the tool to open only as far as the box size.
