Nickel Alloy Round Wire, 0.11 kg. Spools, Dead-Soft

This dead-soft, nickel alloy round wire is ideal for creating bangles, rings, cuff bracelets, and a myriad of components that embellish other findings. This economical 4-oz. spool is the perfect size for smaller jobs, traveling, demonstration benches, trade shows, classrooms and more. Round wire is the bread-&-butter of jewelry making and is useful for a wide variety of techniques. Dead-soft wire is easy to bend, shape and hammer; it is an ideal starting point for forming, shaping and wire-wrapping. Keep in mind that hardness is changeable (by annealing or heat-hardening) and is relative among metal types (each temper will feel and handle differently from one metal to another). When finishing your pieces, also keep in mind that the harder the metal is, the brighter a finish it will take. This wire is packaged on pre-measured 4-oz. spools. Although commonly referred to as "nickel silver" or German silver, this nickel alloy actually contains no silver but offers an attractive—and very affordable—white-metal fabrication material ideal for a variety of design work and fabrication tasks. CDA #752 alloy (65% copper, 17% zinc, 18% nickel).
