This sterling silver cabochon ring mounting features a double split-shank design and detailed fleur-de-lis-shaped accents that serve as prongs and augment the cab mounting; the mounting holds one 18 x 13mm (approx.) oval cameo, cabochon, or other flat-back stone. Cabochon mountings feature a flat, sometimes open, base and raised edges with two to four prongs that hold a cameo or cabochon securely in place.
