This sterling silver post earring features a round bezel cup mounting—the cup is fixed atop a slightly larger round foundation with 1mm bead wire encircling the bottom of the cup, creating a decorative beaded edge. The mounting accommodates one 6mm round cabochon or flat-back stone. Bezel cups provide an easy way to set your stones and finish with clean lines and professional-looking results. Place your stone in the bezel cup and push the walls inward over the stone, holding it in place. For added security, if desired, place a drop or two of jeweler's epoxy in the cup before placing the stone. The friction post features a single groove to help secure the ear nut (not included).
