Swanstrom M76917 Oval Semi-Flush Cutters

These M-series oval semi-flush cutters (M76917) from Swanstrom are designed for strength and durability; the longer on these cutters provide extra reach into design areas while the substantial oval head shape protects the blade for longer blade life. The semi-flush jaws are slightly offset, making it easier to cut and leaving a slight step at the cut ends rather than a spiked pinch. Swanstrom’s M-series cutters are precise, have exceptional strength and stay sharper longer—perfect for almost all hard-wire cutting applications, including Beadalon®. Semi-flush cutters have a very small notch on the back surface that helps to minimize the pinch left on the material after the cut. Making the cut requires a bit more pressure than super-flush cutters.

  • These cutters have a lap joint; one half of the joint overlaps the other, and the Scrivet™ set through both halves combines the strength of a rivet with the capability to precisely adjust it.
  • The coil spring is made of a simple coil of wire tempered to hold its hardness and spring back to its original shape after being compressed; the coil is attached to the inside surface between the tool handles and welded welded in place for added durability.
  • The handles are double-padded for a secure grip and maximum comfort even over extended work times; all Swanstrom handles are latex free. Swanstrom Tools manufactures technically advanced cutters, forged from the highest-quality high-chromium, high-carbon alloy steel and hardened using a unique proprietary heat-treating process. Forging offers the best combination of strength and durability; the jaws will not be nicked with normal use and keep their shape and finish well over time.
