Thompson Lead-Free CE-3 Counter-Enamel
Designed to protect your enamel pieces against distortion and breakage, this counter-enamel is composed of a variety of lead-free enamels crushed and mixed together. Use counter-enamel on the reverse surfaces of your metal substrates to prevent them from warping and causing the enamel on the design side to crack. This medium-temperature, high acid-resistant enamel fires at temperatures from 1,400°–1,500°F (760°–815°C) on fine silver, copper, gold, low-carbon steel and fired fine-silver, copper or gold metal clay.
